When I was in high school I attended church retreats with the local youth group I belonged to. One of my favorite memories of that time was reading special letters called palonkas sent to me by my friends and family during those weekends away.
They were touching and sometimes funny and they made me feel really cared for and thought of.
So I figured, why not bring that magic feeling to the 21st century where people can easily get together virtually to send a bundle of thoughtfulness to someone special in their lives? Palonka comes from the Spanish word palanca, which means “to lift up”. It feels really awesome to make others feel good and I hope Palonka can make it easy to spread that goodness to others.
